Today our young people are experimenting with drugs that are commonly used at parties, during concerts, and in night clubs referred to as club drugs and unfortunately these drugs are dangerous to their health and safety. Young people are using these drugs because they experience energy, euphoria, they can stay up for long periods of time and they feel less inhibited. Teens and young adults don't realize how dangerous the use of club drugs are and are in need of help in order to stop using them.

Pembrooke is an inpatient treatment facility for adolescents and teens that are in need of support, guidance, and education pertaining to the use of drugs like Ecstasy, GHB, Methamphetamine, and Rohypnol. Some of these drugs are not only addictive but there are serious consequences that result from their use and can eventually lead to overdose or death. Many young people attending parties, night clubs, and concerts combine club drugs with alcohol or other substances and risk overdose and death because they don't understand how dangerous club drugs are.

We provide evaluations, intervention, education, counseling and group therapy for young people to help them understand the seriousness and dangers involved with club drugs or any other substance of abuse. We also provide family counseling to help parents and caregivers understand what club drugs are and symptoms associated with their use. We provide education, guidance and support to families and their adolescents and teens and help them set realistic goals for their future and the skills to achieve them.

This is an important time in a young person's life and choices that involve drug use can affect their health and well-being for the rest of their lives. Healthy communication between young people and parents and caregivers is crucial during adolescence and teenage years and we provide the guidance and support needed to improve family relationships.
